A great selection of different songs that you can use to echo the Christmas story if your performance is told in chunks with readers taking each part of the story- really catchy and easy to learn with some great and helpful repetition of pitch in phrases but challenging enough rhythmically to maintain interest. The Shepherds story has some lovely 2-part polyphony that sounds impressive and challenging but is easy to learn. Mary's Journey is reflective and beautiful. There are songs that are secular too and the ones which follow the Christmas story. They are well crafted. The piano parts are playable- I'm a competent enough pianist but not a proper pianist and these are all playable by me (as well as having the chords written in if you are not so confident. The backing tracks are really easy to use too. A great item and I have already used many of the songs in the 2 years I have already owned this book.
