Performance Licence: You need a performance licence to perform our show to anyone other than pupils and staff. Our licences are simple - one price allows you to perform the show as many times as you like during a twelve month period.

Filming/Streaming Licence: If you plan to film your performance and manufacture DVDs for distribution, stream content on an internet site or on social media, you will also need to purchase this licence.

The EDITABLE VERSION of the script in WORD format is not available as a stand-alone purchase. However, it can be purchased alongside one of the Pack options when a performance or filming/streaming licence is also purchased. Synopsis

The animals in the farmyard are patiently waiting for a new baby to arrive. Will it be a lamb, a calf or a foal? They wait and wait and as time passes they begin to worry. Will the precious new baby ever arrive?

Then something wonderful happens. As they sleep a beautiful golden star begins to shine over their stable and Mary and Joseph wearily enter and rest their heads in the hay. When the animals awake they find a very special surprise waiting for them.

Characters/Speaking Parts

'Is There A Baby In There?' is a wonderful ensemble piece. Lines can be spoken by individuals playing the different animals, or by groups of children playing those animals. 

The animals mentioned directly within the script are:

Cockerel, horse, mouse, cow, donkey, mule, goat, chicken, barn owl, insects. 

Additionally, there are roles for shepherds, kings, angels, a golden star, and non-speaking roles for Mary and Joseph. 

The script is easily adaptable and would work for a small cast or a much larger cast, with songs divided up neatly between groups. The editable WORD version of the script is available for £9.95 when purchased alongside a performance licence.

Catchy tunes!

Lovely songs with simple words and very catchy melodies! Our wee ones have just started learning them and are having such fun singing along! The song files are great quality with a choice of adult female singer, a children’s choir or just instrumental backing tracks. Engaging and interesting script, both in pdf and editable formats. I’m very happy with my purchase and look forward to our performance on 6th December!
